Background Dr. Bernd Klemm-Costa has initially studied Physics at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena and then subsequently Law and Slavic Studies from 1986 until 1991 at the Free University of Berlin. After earning a doctorate in law, he began his career as a lawyer in a reputable law and notary firm in Berlin. He specialized there in the fields of Real Estate- and Construction Law as well as Commercial Civil Law as partner. In 2005, Dr. Bernd Klemm-Costa with his partners started the Munich office for Avocado Rechtsanwälte. He worked there as partner until 2013. In 2014, Dr. Bernd Klemm-Costa started together with Ottmar Fuchs and Prof. Dr. Torsten Grothmann the law firm Grothmann Klemm Kullack Fuchs with offices in Munich, Frankfurt and Jena.
